Stress management coaching is an effective way to identify and address the main sources of stress in your life, be it personal or professional. A stress management coach can provide you with tips and strategies to help you turn off those stressors and give you a sense of space, reflection, and clarity. The goal of a coach is to help you understand the root causes of your stress, rather than just “correct” the symptoms. This is done through a series of conversations in which the coach will ask you questions to help you gain insight and offer ideas or reflections that you may not have considered.
If you're in a high-stress environment at work or elsewhere, stress management counseling can help (I also offer counseling for recovery from exhaustion). I work with clients on one-hour consultations over the phone or on a Zoom webinar. You will get strategies to reframe stress and manage demands and reflex reactions. In today's fast-paced world, it's easy for people to become overwhelmed by competing priorities.
Stress management coaching helps clients evaluate their lives in several areas (i.e., stress management coaching can be tailored to the individual needs of each client and can be delivered in person or remotely to help clients achieve better overall well-being). In a study of 15 managers who received training for one year, participants reported that the training had increased their stress management skills, improved work-life balance, and reduced psychological stress. When you finish your training, you can reflect on the progress made and create an action plan on how to move forward without your coach.
